After following Jen for years on Instagram and loving her free recipes and healthy eating resources, I joined the Hype Gal Membership in January 2025. I adore Jen and had been wanting to join for a while. I was happy with my training program, but hadn’t found a healthy eating approach I got excited about. I’d tried several nutrition plans but had never found one I truly loved or that suited my life as a busy working mum.

The secret ingredient to the Hype Gal Membership is Jen. She’s a foodie just like me and has been on her own weight loss and healthy eating journey. The recipes Jen creates are healthy and delicious and I never feel restricted. I truly get excited about my meals and snacks. I signed up for 6 months when i joined and I’m already planning to renew for 12 months, this membership and hype gal community are special.

I grew up with a beautiful mum who had a scarcity mindset towards food from her own childhood, and who thought healthy eating and exercise was boring Despite that, it wasn’t until my late 20’s that I became overweight and started emotional eating.

I did Jenny Craig and lost 5kg but it was a starvation diet that cut out all fats and I learned nothing about nutrition.

Then for many years after that did yo-yo dieting, overeating, emotional eating, had sugar cravings and just felt like such a failure.

I had my daughter in 2014 and joined The Healthy Mummy program. It was good for a while and I lost weight but as soon as my healthy habits dropped, I regained the weight. It was easy to follow my meal plan when I was on maternity leave but then it felt impossible to do when I returned to work. Going on to experience a lot of trauma in my 30’s, including five pregnancy losses and losing my mum to cancer in 2020, emotional eating felt impossible to stop. I also started binge eating and felt ashamed.

In mid-2021, I started my healthy eating journey and began resistance training. I finally found MY thing, I absolutely love doing weights and have set up a mini in my sunroom. However, no program or healthy eating approach I tried truly felt like the perfect fit until i joined The Hype Gal Membership.

I did a sneaky extra weigh in and I’m now 7.4kg down since joining the membership. With Jen’s support, her yummy recipes, the masterclasses and beautiful community, it has honestly felt easy. My progress is about so much more than weight loss though and my healthy habits are becoming almost automatic. Even after two injury setbacks, I've maintained my healthy eating and have continued to lose weight with very limited movement. Consistent healthy eating has changed everything and I am so grateful.

Health is one of my top priorities. In the last 10 years, I’ve been diagnosed with 5 autoimmune diseases and IBS. I could wallow in self-pity but I choose to focus on positivity and happiness. Since 2021, I’ve done substantial personal development and mindset work to help me best the best version of myself. I’m strong and resilient and it’s important to me that I show my daughter that our health is so important.
